Abstract
Objective To study clinical efficacy of nasal inhalation of nebulized glucocorticoid (budesonide) for treating otitis media with effusion. Methods One hundred twenty six cases of otitis media treated at the ENT clinic of the First Municipal Hospital of Qinhuangdao between May 2015 and May 2016 were divided into a treatment and a con-trol group (n=63 each). Cases in the treatment group were treated with nasal inhalation of nebulized glucocorticoid (2 mg, bid), and those in the control group with triamcinolone acetonide nasal spray (2 sprays, bid), for two weeks. Antibi-otics were provided if nasal infection was present. Results The rate of improvement was 92.3%in the treatment group and 79.7%in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions Inhalation of nebulized glucocorticoids shows good efficacy in the treatment of otitis media with effusion.关键词
