Abstract
Objective To report changes in auditory brainstem response threshold in guinea pigs after high-pow-er-microwave radiation. Methods Fifteen male guinea pigs were divided into a control group, a 30 mW/cm2 treatment group and a 100 mW/cm2 treatment group. Following high-power-microwave, guinea pigs were tested for ABR thresh-olds immediately and on Days 3, 7 and 14. Results ABR thresholds were elevated in the 100 mW/cm2 treatment group at all time points (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference between the 30 mW/cm2 treatment group and control group at all time points (P>0.05). Conclusions The results show that high-power-microwave radiation can lead to a power dose dependent increase of ABR thresholds in guinea pigs.关键词
