摘要
Abstract
Protection of hearing function is the key in the development of inner ear surgery. Traditional inner ear surgery often results in irreversible severe hearing loss from acoustic and thermal damages by otologic drills. Laser tech-nology, with very low thermal and acoustic trauma, can reduce cochlear injury, while releasing a variety of protective factors during laser ablation of bone and soft tissue that can penetrate the membranous labyrinth and protect cochlear hair cells. Laser technology may be an important direction for future development of inner ear surgery.关键词
