摘要

Abstract

Using the Terfenol-D rod as the main material,two kinds of giant magnetostrictive actuators( GMA) with a segmented bias magnetic field and anunbias magnetic field are developed. Then the structure and performance of the two actuators are analyzed.Based on Ampere's law,Kirchhoff's law of magnetic circuit and superposition principle, the magnetic field distribution of the actuator is analyzed theoretically. In order to further study the magnetic field distribution,a three-dimensional model is established and the finite element simulation software is employed to ana-lyzethe internal magnetic field of the two structures. The simulation results show that the segmented permanent bias-magnetic structure can achieve the desired effect. Compared to GMA with segmented permanent magnet,the magnet-ic field distribution of actuator with unbias magnetic field is more uniform under the action of drive current.The ex-perimental results show thatthe displacement and output force of GMA is positively correlated with the length and di-ameter of Terfenol-D rod. Under the action of bias magnetic field,the GMA has excellent linearity and no double-frequency effect,and the static and dynamic characteristics of GMA are improved.
