Abstract
Objective To analyze the semen quality of 112 patients with cryptorchidism and to investigate the effect of cryptorchidism on male fertility.Methods 112 patients with cryptorchidism treated at Urology Department of our hospital from December,2015 to April,2017 were selected as an observation group.160 healthy fertile men who took physical examination in the same period at our hospital were selected as a control group.The sperm density,viability,forward motion rate,and sperm morphology were analyzed for semen samples from these groups.Results The sperm density,viability,forward motion rate,and sperm morphology in the observation group were (47.1 1±15.65)×106/ml,(38.76±11.83)％,(21.50±10.2)％,and (10.67±5.36)％,which were significantly lower than those in the control group [(59.86±25.39)× 106/ml,(55.50±16.62)％,(33.40±12.41)％,and (14.38±9.47)％],with statistical differences (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Cryptorchidism causes the decrease of male semen quality,which closely relates with the occurrence of male infertility.关键词
