Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of pedicle screw internal fixation combined with directional bone grafting via the pedicle approach of the injured vertebra for the treatment of thoracolumbar burst fracture.Methods Total 22 patients suffered from thoracolumbar burst fractures treated with transpedicular fixation combined with directional bone grafting through the pedide approach of the injured vertebras were reviewed.All patients received the examination at the preoperative and postoperative period.The anterior edge height,compression ratio,Cobb angle and the spinal canal compromise of the fracture vertebras were measured.The bone grafting was also evaluated.Results All patients were followed up,the time ranged from 12 ～36(15.3 ±4.1)months.No incision infection,internal fixation loosen or breakage of internal fixation happened in these patients.The anterior edge height,Cobb angle and the spinal canal compromise were improved after operation,the differences were statistically significant (P ＜ 0.05).Bone grafting patients got bony healing.Conclusions The directional bone grafting via the pedicle approach of the injured vertebras can restore the bone defect after the vertebral reduction,reestablish the stablity of the spine.The surgery of pedicle screw internal fixation combined with directional bone grafting via the pedicle approach of the injured vertebras is an effective method for the thoracolumbar burst fractures.关键词
