Abstract
Objective To investigate the efficacy of medial-lateral double plates internal fixation for the treatment of the type C3 distal femoral fractures.Methods The 21 cases with type C3 distal femoral fractures were repositioned directly and fixed with medial reconstruction locking plate combined with lateral anatomic locking plate internal fixation via dual-incision.Results The operation time was 115 ～ 210 min,the blood lost was 400 ～ 1 000 ml.Postoperative radiographs showed that all the fractures reduction were good.All patients were followed up from 12 months to 27 months.No infection,internal fixation breaking or loosening occurred.The fractures were all bony healed.At final follow-up,knee function was evaluated by Merchan score standard,with excellent in 4 cases,good in 13,fair in 3,poor in 1.Conclusions Medial-lateral double plates internal fixation in the treatment of type C3 distal femoral fractures have the advantages of good exposure,satisfying fracture reduction and reliable fixation.It can facilitate early postoperative functional exercise and acquire satisfactory clinical effect.关键词
