Abstract
Objective:To compare the clinical efficacy of probiotics combined with subgingival scaling and root pla-ning( SRP) versus SRP alone in the treatment of chronic periodontitis. Methods:We systematically searched PubMed, The Cochrane Library,Embase,CNKI and Wanfang databases through January 31,2017 and scrutinized the reference lists of rele-vant literatures. Randomized controlled trials that investigated the clinical effects of probiotics combined with SRP in treating chronic periodontitis were included. Results:Six RCTs were finally included with a total of 205 patients,of whom 103 patients were in the probiotics plus SRP group and 102 patients were in the SRP group. The results of meta-analysis showed that com-pared with SRP alone,probiotics combined with SRP was associated with a decreased periodontal probing depth( PD) and an increased clinical attachment level(CAL). Moreover,probiotics combined with SRP also further reduced plaque index and gingival index in chronic periodontitis patients,without significant influence on bleeding on probing. Conclusion:In the treat-ment of chronic periodontitis,probiotics plus SRP has better clinical efficacy compared with SRP alone.关键词
