Survey of cognition on stroke among medical staff in third grade A hospital

Abstract
Objective:To inquire into the cognition of medical staff on stroke related knowledge in third grade A hospitals and to analyze the related influencing factors,and to provide scientific basis for further developing and strengthening medical staff to screening and prevention of patients with stroke.Methods:A total of 1 142 clinical medical staff in a third grade A hospital were investigated on the stroke related knowledge by self-designed questionnaire.Results:The total score of stroke related knowledge of medical staff was 86.00±23.77.A total of 370 participants took part in the training of stroke related knowledge(32.4％).Among the participants,33.7％ were not aware of the green channel procedure for stroke screening,and 31.9％ were not aware of folic acid intervention in stroke.The highest awareness rate was basis diseases related to stroke(88.7％).The main factors affecting the cognitive level of medical staff were profession,educational background,length of service,professional title,and whether to participate in the training of stroke screening knowledge(P＜0.05).Conclusions:The cognitive level of stroke among medical staff was higher in third grade A hospitals,and hospital should encourage and organize medical personnel to learn and master the latest research developments at home and abroad,to comprehensively grasp all kinds of risk factors of stroke,and apply advanced research results consciously to the clinical screening and prevention of stroke.关键词
