Abstract
Objective:To investigate the diagnosis and treatment of malignant struma ovarii (MSO).Methods:A patient of MSO in PUMC hospital was reported and the related literatures were reviewed.Results:MSO is a rare malignant ovarian germ cell tumor with low morbidity.The published literatures are mostly single case or small case series.Surgery is thought the optimal management.The early stage patients can be performed fertility-sparing surgery,but if the tumor breaks during surgery,complete staging surgery should be done.However,advanced patients should be performed staging surgery directly.After that,all patients should receive total thyroidectomy,radioactive iodine-131 ablation and thyroxine treatment.Conclusions:The incidence of MSO is low,and the preferred treatment is surgery.The surgical range depends on the fertility-sparing desire of patients and the tumor status and staging,and adjuvant radioactive iodine-131 ablation after surgery is also necessary.关键词
