Abstract
Objective To investigate the stroke-related death characteristics and the trend in burden due to premature mortality caused by stroke in rural areas of Liaoning province from 2009 to 2013,so as to provide a basis for the prevention and treatment of the disease. Methods From May 2015 to January 2017,we obtained the demographic and all-cause mortality data between 2009 and 2013 from Fengcheng Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Zhangwu Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The composition of the causes of death was analyzed. The mortality rate, standardized mortality rate, years of life lost (YLL) due to premature mortality,YLL rate, standardized YLL rate, average years of life lost (AYLL)and standardized AYLL and fixed base decline were calculated. Results During 2009 to 2013,stroke was the leading cause of death among rural areas in Liaoning, the annual shared proportion of which was greater than 25.00%.The standardized mortality rate of ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke and ischemic stroke combined with hemorrhagic stroke showed a downward trend from 2009 to 2013 (P < 0.05),which decreased by 23.95%,48.65%,40.08%,respectively.The standardized YLL rate of ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke and ischemic stroke combined with hemorrhagic stroke fell significantly during 2009 to 2013,down 17.50%,46.36%,and 37.02%,respectively.The standardized AYLL rate for ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke and ischemic stroke combined with hemorrhagic stroke increased significantly during 2009 to 2013,up 10.11%,5.04% and 4.90%,respectively;hemorrhagic stroke had higher standardized AYLL rate than ischemic stroke between 2010 and 2013.Conclusion The mortality and the burden caused by premature mortality due to stroke in rural areas of Liaoning province remain a high level even though they show a downward trend. It is still urgent to carry out targeted measures to reduce the burden of stroke in rural areas.关键词
