摘要
Abstract
According to illustration about characteristics of spherical tanks and NDT difficulties of liquid ammonia spherical tanks,features of TOFD testing technology and improvement and updates of TOFD standards,a instance about TOFD application on 3 000 m3 liquid ammonia spherical tank is enumerated in this paper.It is correct that the ammonia spherical tank is constructed by TOFD not radiographic testing.Although TOFD haves a lot of advantages on spherical tanks NDT,TOFD testing technology have blind zones of the upper and bottom surface.Meanwhile,magnetic particle and penetrant testing should be application to spherical tanks construction besides TOFD.It provided some experience for reference in similar tanks.关键词
