Experimental investigation of pile groups effect of structural clay in Zhanjiang Formation

Abstract
Based on the homemade pile groups model,the test in situ from Zhanjiang Formation structural clay was carried out to get the pile group effect coefficient values measured under various pile spacing and different circumstances pile length.The different pile group effect coefficient and calculated values were contrasted and analyzed,and the error was found from them.The applicability of different theories pile group effect coefficient formula was discussed.The results show that with the pile spacing increasing,bearing capacity of pile group effect coefficient increases between 0.750-0.917.With the pile spacing increasing,side friction pile group effect coefficient increases between 0.782-0.897.Converse-Labrre pile group effect coefficient calculated values agree well with the measured data,and the relative error varies between-1.9%-6%.The calculated pile group effect coefficients considering the superposition of sterss are quite different with the measured values.关键词
