Abstract
The mechanism of efflorescence formation in pavement bricks was discussed. The method of X-ray diffractometer was used to analyze the composition of efflorescence. A novel method for testing efflorescence was proposed. Moreover,the effects of SHP-50 silicon alkyl powder and fly ash on efflorescence were investigated. The results show that the main components of the efflorescence on bricks are sodium bicarbonate and anhydrous glauber's salt. This new method proposed in this paper is a high way to test the anti-efflorescence property of pavement bricks. With the increase of the amount of SHP-50,the degree of efflorescence on bricks was decreased. As the amount of fly ash increased,the degree of efflorescence on bricks gets lower.关键词
