Preparation of Bi2MoO6/Ag3PO4 Composites with Enhanced Photocatalytic Activities

Abstract
The Bi2MoO6/Ag3PO4 composites were prepared via in-situ chemical deposition of Ag3PO4 on the surface of plate-like Bi2MoO6. The photocatalytic activities were evaluated by the degradation of Rhodamine B (RhB) under visible light irradiation. The experimental results show that the coupling of Bi2MoO6 with Ag3PO4 can improve the photocatalytic activity, and the 35%Bi2MoO6/Ag3PO4 composite exhibits the optimum photocatalytic performance. The possible mechanism of the enhanced photocatalytic activity is ascribed to the well-matched energy bands of Bi2MoO6 and Ag3PO4, favoring the separation of photogenerated electron-hole pairs and extending the lifetime of charge carries.关键词
