摘要

Abstract

The antenna system of the synthetic aperture radar (SAR)imaging satellite (GF-3)is the first Chinese C-band multi-polarized phased array antenna which is operating on-orbit success-fully.The antenna features characteristics of co-aperture design,multi-polarization,flexibility of beam control,and can achieve twelve general working modes and several extensional modes.As a key equipment of the SAR system,the weight and peak power consumption of the whole system account for more than 46% and 60% of the satellite,respectively.Moreover,the performances of its emitting power,wideband bandwidth and radiation patterns play an important role on the ima-ging performance.The paper presents the design and main performances of the SAR antenna sys-tem for GF-3 satellite to demonstrate its features of C-band, multi-polarization, broad bandwidth,large power consumption,high-precision scanning,large aperture folding and low-weight,which will provide useful guidelines on the design of phased array antenna for Chinese space-borne SAR in the future.
