Abstract

Objective To explore the effects of Microteaching in teaching of nursing skills in nursing undergraduates. Methods By convenient sampling, 110 nursing students of Grade 2013 were involved in the study. Fifty-six students were included as control group with traditional skill teaching methods and fifty-four as observation group with microteaching teaching methods. Nursing skill performance and learning initiative at the end of the semester were evaluated in both groups. Results The total score of nursing students' learning initiative in the observation group was higher than that in control group(P<0.05). The scores of learning motivation and learning goals were higher in observation group than those in control group (P<0.05); students' score of aseptic operation, oral care and nasogastric gavage in observation group was higher than that in control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The Micro teaching method is helpful to improve the nursing skill, learning initiative, and the operation ability. It is worth of promotion in nursing teaching.
