Abstract
Objective To explore the influence of 4R crisis management on fall in inpatients of Neurology Department. Methods A total of 2,919 patients hospitalized in Neurology Department from January 2015 to December 2016 were enrolled in the study and divided into the control group with 1,455 cases (from January 2015 to December 2015) and the intervention group with 1,464 cases (from January 2016 to December 2016) according to the time of admission. Routine fall management was implemented in the control group. On the basis of routine fall management, 4R crisis management was implemented in intervention group. The incidence of fall was observed and compared between the two groups. Results The fall rate was 0.55% with 8 patients fall in control group and 0.07% with 1 patients fall in intervention group. The incidence of fall was significantly lower in intervention group than that in control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The implementation of 4R crisis management can reduce the occurrence of fall in inpatients of Neurology Department and it is worth of popularization clinically.关键词
