Influence on Structure of Existing Building due to Added Lift Shaft

摘要

Abstract

The article aims at adding extra lift shaft on a multistorey existing concrete building, using the response spectrum function of the structure analyzing program SAP2000 to simulate the influence of earthquake.According to the results of simulation, the influence on the whole structure due to seismic performance is not obvious by the addition of the lift;but on the internal force of some components, it will have more impacts, especially, for the components close to the adding lift, with the increase of the floor, the stress increase;and with the increase of the distance from the lift, the stress decrease.
