摘要

Abstract

A planographic tri-band monopole antenna fed with microstrip line is designed,which is suitable for the wireless local area network(WLAN)and worldwide interoperability for microwave access(WiMAX). The front of the antenna presents the symmetrical double-6 shape to provide the high-frequency radiation with relatively-wide bandwidth and low-frequency radiation. In order to satisfy the tri-band design and low-frequency radiation,the middle frequency band required by WiMAX is excited,and the earth plate on the back of the antenna is slotted with the symmetric slot line. The electromagnetic simulation software Ansoft HFSS 15.0 based on finite element method is used to perform the simulation design for the antenna , optimize the structure data,and get the final radiation characteristics results of the antenna. The simulation results show that the antenna works at 2.39~2.72 GHz,3.36~3.86 GHz and 4.22~5.83 GHz respectively while the return loss is less than -10 dB,and can better work at the frequency bands of WLAN and WiMAX. The antenna has small size,simple structure,good coplanarity,easy realiza-tion,and good directivity and gain in each working frequency band.
