摘要

Abstract

The color management settings in the computer operating system have an important influ-ence on the correct color rendering of monitor .For this problem,by means of the image processing software "Adobe PhotoShop" under Windows7 platform ,the three color rendering schemes were de-signed depending on different Operating System ICC and Application ICC .The methods of Color Difference Calculation and Gamut Comparison were used to analyzed the influence of Operating System ICC on color rendering of monitor .The important conclusions are as follows :If the ICC profile made for the monitor was set as Operating System ICC ,the color rendering effect of the moni-tor can be seen as a redefined result of the chromaticity by Application ICC .If the other ICC profile was set as Operating System ICC ,the displaying colors will be converted to color space of Operating System ICC from color space of Application ICC .The greater the gamut difference between the two ICC profiles is ,the greater the variations of the converted colors are .The conclusions of this study have some guiding significance for the application of monitor color management .
