Cosmetic Effect of Antibacterial Absorbable Suture on Facial laceration in Children

Abstract
Objective To analyze the effect of antibacterial absorbable suture in cosmetic suture of facial laceration in children. Methods A total of 80 pediatric patients with facial laceration were treated with debridement and cosmetic suture from March 2017 to April 2017. The patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group, 40 cases in each group. Debridement was performed in the two groups. Then, the observation group was treated with cosmetic suture, which used antibacterial absorbable suture to suture the subcutaneous tissue and nylon thread to suture the skin. And the control group was treated with cosmetic suture, which used silk suture to suture the subcutaneous tissue and nylon thread to suture the skin. Results The wound infection rate and knot reaction rate in the observation group were signiifcantly lower than those in the control group, the difference was statistically signiifcant (P<0.05). However, there was no signiifcant difference in the rate of scar hyperplasia between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion The use of antibacterial absorbable suture cosmeticly suturing facial laceration in children can effectively reduce the incidence of postoperative wound infection and knot reaction, the effect is signiifcant, worthy of clinical use.关键词
