Abstract

In order to study the ground loss difference and settlement pattern at different depth under the disturbance caused by metro shield tunnel construction in sand stratum,a model test,which took dry sand as filler and simulated the ground loss by releasing soil gradually,was conducted to study the ground settlement and soil stratum settlement caused by soil loss during shield tunnel construction in sand stratum.Results show that the ground loss increases in the form of power function from ground surface down,and a strong positive correlation is between both the maximum settlement and the width coefficient of settlement trough with ground loss during shield tunnel construction in sand stratum.With the increase of the buried depth of stratum,the settlement pattern changes from Gaussian curve to chimney.The width coefficient of settlement trough remains relatively stable after reaching a certain value.The maximum settlement increases continuously,which plays a major role in the increase of ground loss.According to the Gaussian settlement pattern in sand stratum,the relationship is set up between the sand ground loss at different buried depths and ground surface loss,and the calculation method for sand ground loss at different buried depths is put forward based on statistical analysis principle.The calculation formulas for the maximum settlement of sand ground loss and the width coefficient of settlement trough at different buried depths are corrected according to experimental data.Finally,the calculation formula for ground settlement at different buried depth is obtained.
