Abstract
Objective To evaluate the value of ultrasound guided cannulation of internal jugular vein ( IJV) in robotic cardiac surgery during the establishment of peripheral cardiopulmonary bypass ( CPB) . Methods Between January 2013 and December 2016, 181 patients underwent robotic cardiac surgery with peripheral CPB in our hospital. All the patients underwent ultrasound guided right IJV cannulation. A retrospective analysis was undertaken using data from our echocardiographic database. The success rate, the first at-tempt success rate, access time and the complication rate of ultrasound guided method were evaluated. Results The success rate and the first attempt success rate in the patienrs were 100% and 98.3%. Average access time was(6.1±13.2)s. The complication rate was 1. 1%. Conclusion Ultrasound guided cannulation of the IJV has a high success rate and first attempt success rate, a short access time and a low complication rate in robotic cardiac surgery. These results suggest that ultrasound guided technique may be preferred in robot-ic cardiac surgery.关键词
