摘要

Abstract

The spindle is the core component of a cotton picker, whose performance directly affects harvesting rate of the cotton picker. In this study, the model of dry friction vibration system of the cotton picker spindle in the picking process is established. The dynamic behavior of the cotton picker spindle is analyzed under intermittent friction excitation and coupled external excitation and intermittent friction excitation. The results show that in the picking process, the dynamic behavior of the spindle is free vibration accompanied with impact when the intermittent friction excitation is applied to it only. The vibration amplitude is small and will not lead to fracture failure of spindles. While it is a complicated impact vibration under the coupled external excitation and intermittent excitation. The vibration amplitude varies greatly and the vibration behavior is deteriorated, which may cause the impact between spindles and cotton disengagement pads. It is also one of factors of fracture failure of spindles.
