A Soft-Switched High Step-Up Quadratic Boost Converter with Auxiliary Circuit

Abstract
By adding an auxiliary circuit to the novel quadratic Boost converter based on the reduced redundant power processing (R2P2) principle, a soft-switched high step-up quadratic Boost converter with auxiliary circuit is proposed in this paper. This converter can not only reduce the overall power loss but also achieve zero-voltage-switched (ZVS) turn-on of active switches and zero-current-switched (ZCS) turn-off of output diodes, reducing switching loss. Owing to the output-series of the auxiliary circuit and the novel quadratic converter, the proposed converter can achieve high voltage gain and low switch stress. Thus, a low-voltage-rated MOSFET can be utilized to improve the efficiency and reduce the cost. The operating characteristics of steady-state, requirement of the ZVS and the duty ratio loss of the proposed converter are analyzed in detail. Experimental results of a 100W prototype are presented to verify the analysis of the proposed converter.关键词
