一种支持选择性反馈的编码传输协议
Code-based transport protocol with selective feedback in inter-datacenter networks
摘要
Abstract
Due to that current applications running in datacenter networks have a high requirement on latency,while most datacenters adopt TCP(transmission control protocol)as their transport proto-col,which brings in the result of serious long-tail effects on latency-sensitive flows, a code-based transport protocol(CTP)is presented.The selective feedback is supported in CTP to prevent long-tail effect due to large RTO and reduce latency in the datacenter network.UDP(user datagram protocol)is taken as transport protocol instead of TCP,logarithmic-feedback LT code(LFLT code)is presented to guarantee the reliability,and an efficient congestion control algorithm is designed to improve the trans-port efficiency,thus coexisting with TCP friendly.Experimental results show that CTP improves the coding efficiency by 100%compared with LT code,and improves flow completion time by 150%and 50%respectively compared with TCP and UDP based on only LT code with less influence by packet loss ratio,demonstrating that CTP is suitable in the datacenter network with dynamic traffic.关键词
