WDM optical network routing and wavelength assignment scheme based on improved FAR

Abstract
For the issues that the routing and wavelength assignment (RWA) in wavelength division multiplex-ing (WDM) optical networks, a RWA scheme based on improved fixed alternate routing (FAR) mechanism is proposed. At the same time, the wavelength is allocated using the existing most used (MU) mechanism. Simu-lation results show that the proposed scheme can effectively reduce the blocking rate of network requests and has high practical value.关键词
