Visible light communication system based on micro-violet LED and OFDM

Abstract
To achieve higher LED bandwidth and data transmission rate, a new visible light communication system based on micro-violet LED and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is proposed. Firstly, the micro-violet LED design consists of an internal array of 5 pixel units and an external array of 10 pixel units, so as to match the geometry of the plastic fiber. Then, in order to implement the operation of OFDM transmitters and receivers, a real valued OFDM waveform and a pseudo random bit sequence are gen-erated, and the random bit sequence is modulated using quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM). Experimen-tal results show that, compared with other designs, the proposed design is superior in data transmission rate and bandwidth.关键词
