Abstract
Fast DC circuit breaker is essential equipment for fault removal of DC power grid,however its breaking capacity is insufficient to meet the requirements of DC power grid.Fortunately,the cooperation of current limiter and circuit breaker can effectively improve breaking capacity of the circuit breaker,so as to ensure safe operation of the DC power grid.In this paper,an arc characteristic simulation model of high voltage DC circuit breaker is established by using MATLAB/Simulink according to the principle of the circuit breaker in order to investigate the effects of current limiter on the circuit breaker with respect to the breaking time and transient over-voltage.Subsequently,a model of the resistance-type superconducting fault current limiter (RSFCL) is built according to the superconducting belt model for the purpose of adopting variable resistance to simulate the change of resistance in the superconductivity-losing process of the current limiter,and for further analyzing the effect of the current limiter on the breaking process of the circuit breaker.This work may provide a reference for application of DC superconducting current limiter to DC power grid.关键词
