摘要

Abstract

In present study,the potential of bio-calcification with Microcystis flos-aquae for CO2 sequestration was investigated,and influence from calcium concentration on bio-calcification ability was also studied.The results showed that Microcystisflos-aquae could induce significant bio-calcification,which was dependent on the initial calcium concentration in solution.The highest calcium precipitation was observed when the initial calcium was 170 mg · L-1.Meanwhile,the amount of fixed CO2 was up to 36.5 mg per 1 000 mL algal solution (initial algal concentration:1.7 × 106 to 1.8 × 106 cell · mL-1).This research could provide new insight on the applica tion of microalgae bio-calcification for CO2 fixation.
