Abstract

The Mo/HZSM-5 catalysts were prepared by three different room temperature methods, impregnation-suction filtration, impregnation-rotary evaporation and ball milling-impregnation, and the properties of methane aromatization on the catalysts were investigated in a fluidized bed reactor. The results showed that compared with the impregnation-suction filtration method, the impregnation-rotary evaporation and ball milling-impregnation methods provided higher Mo loadings, and the catalysts prepared by the two methods exhibited higher methane conversion (16%- 19% and 18%-21%, respectively), total aromatics selectivity (85% and 83%, respectively) and lower wear index (0.71%/h and 0.85%/h, respectively).
