摘要
Abstract
Objective To explore the relation between primary pterygium and microvessel density (MVD).Methods Totally 481 patients with primary pterygium excise in our hospital were selected to constitute an observation group,with 481 specimens of pterygium taken;another 127 patients who had received strabotomy were selected to constitute a control group,with 127 bulbar conjunctiva specimens sampled.All specimens received routine histopathology and immunohistochemical staining examination.The MVD of the specimens and the positive rate of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) between the two groups were compared and the relation between the MVD of pterygium and the positive rate of VEGF.Results The MVD of pterygium and the positive rate of VEGF in the observation group were much higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05);the MVD of pterygium and the positive rate of VEGF in stationary phase were much lower than those in progressive phase (P < 0.05);with the increase of the degree of infiltration of the limbus corneae by the pterygium,the positive rate of VEGF also increased progressively (P < 0.05);Spearman correlation analysis showed that the MVD of pterygium were positively correlated with the positive rate of VEGF (r=0.504,P < 0.05).Conclusion The MVD of pterygium and the positive rate of VEGF will increase with the pathological staging and clinical progress of pterygium;they can predict the progression of disease and are positively correlated with each other.关键词
