Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of lipoic acid on nitric oxide ( NO) ,malondialdehyde ( MDA) and clini-cal symptoms of patients with chronic alcoholic peripheral neuropathy (CAPN).Methods 40 cases of CAPN patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group ,two group were treated with lipoic acid and Mecobalamin intrave-nous drip for 14 days.After 14 days treatment,to compare the changes of NO and MDA in two groups ,to evaluate the scores of nervous system symptoms and efficacy .Results There was no significant difference in NSS score between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05).Be treated for 14 days,the NSS scores of the two groups were decreased (P<0.05),the treatment group was significantly lower compared with the control group (P<0.05).Before treatment,the level of NO and MDA in the two groups were not statistically significant (P>0.05).Be treated for 14 days,the level of NO and MDA in both groups decreased (P<0.05),the levels of NO and MDA in treatment group were significantly decreased compared with the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Lipoic acid can reduce the level of NO and MDA in patients with CAPN , relieve nerve injury and improve clinical symptoms .It is worthy of large-scale application and research .关键词
