Abstract

ABSTRACT: The economic operation and sustainable development of energy systems are the focus in academia and industry. With the development of low-carbon technologies such as cogeneration, heat pump and gas boiler, the regional power system, regional natural gas system and district heating system are highly coupled, and thus the regional electricity-gas-heat system integrated energy system is formed. For the sake of simplicity, it is called the regional electricity-gas-heat system (REGHS) in this paper. In order to further analyze the complementary characteristics of subsystems in REGHS and the potential of collaborative optimization, the subsystems mentioned above were firstly modeled and solved. The energy coupling link with regional hybrid energy station (HES) as the core was analyzed based on the concept of energy hub, and the comprehensive REGHS energy flow solution model was studied. The REGHS energy flow was optimized with the target of minimizing the total cost, along with the setting of reasonable operational constraints (including constraints of REGHS energy network and HES). It provides a certain theoretical basis for the optimal energy supply options, guiding the reasonable and economic energy use. Verified by the case study, the optimized cost of REGHS is reduced effectively through energy conversion and dispatch, and the comprehensive energy efficiency is improved while the operation constraints of subsystems are satisfied.
