Bonding performance of tannin-phenol-formaldehyde reisn

Abstract
Bayberry tannin and acacia tannin were as the substitutes to prepare tannin-phenol-formaldehyde resin of particleboard and the internal bond strength of particleboard influence by mole ratio, tannin types and tannin substitution rate was analysised.The results indicated that tannin structures and mole ratio had a great effect on bonding performance of modified phenol formaldehyde resin.At low mole ratio (1.3:1), phenol formaldehyde resin modified with bayberry tannin and acacia tannin had badly bonding performance.But, the results were the opposite when phenol formaldehyde resin modified with bayberry tannins and acacia tannin at high mole ratio ( 1.8:1) .The maximum rates of bayberry tannin and acacia tannin substitution rate of phenol were 30%and 50%, and the internal bond strength of particleboard increased by 13%and 54%.关键词
