摘要

Abstract

Based on the engineering practice, the friction strength mechanism of cohesionless soil is used to analyze the friction strength of coral soil, find the cause for high shear strength of loose coral soil, compare and analyze the corresponding data in China and overseas, point out the shortage and orientation of the coral soil study and the engineering practice. Then a mechanical model of standard penetration test (SPT) is analyzed to develop a concept of building an empirical correlation between the shear strength and SPT-N value of coral soil. Finally the empirical correlation is explored and built, which leads to the reasonable suggestions on the values taken for the shear strength of coral soil foundation.
