Method of Equipment Material Inventory Classification Based on Improved Grey Clustering

Abstract
The type of equipment materials has increased dramatically in recent years, making the inventory management more difficult. An inventory classification method of equipment materials based on improved grey clustering is then proposed to help the inventory management. Taking account of the uncertainty of equipment materials consumption, Demand fluctuate coefficient is first defined as one of the inventory classification criteria. The entropy theory is introduced to calculate the clustering criteria weight, which is considered to be more objective, and besides, the whitenization weight function of grey clustering is given based on the center-points of all grey classes. A real inventory classification example of armored materials of one tactical warehouse is shown at last, with the results of which indicate that the novel classification method is rational and practical.关键词
