摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression level of serum matrix metalloproteinase-2 ( MMP-2) in the grades of brain MRI in patients with white matter lesions ( WML) .Methods Sixty patients with WML were selected as patients group and 30 patients without WML as the control group .Clinical data were collected and serum MMP-2 levels were measured .Results The differences of serum MMP-2 levels between normal group and WML gradeⅠsubgroup , WML gradeⅡsubgroup ,WML gradeⅢsubgroup were statistically significant respectively ( all P<0.001 );the differences of serum MMP-2 levels between WML gradeⅠsubgroup and WML gradeⅡsubgroup , WML gradeⅢsubgroup were statistically significant respectively ( all P<0.001 ); the difference of serum MMP-2 levels between WML gradeⅡsubgroup and WML gradeⅢsubgroup , WML gradeⅢsubgroup had no statistical significance ( P>0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that age (OR=2.144,95％CI:1.248-3.684, P=0.006),pasma level of homocysteine (Hcy) (OR=4.432, 95％CI:1.344-14.600, P=0.014),level of MMP-2 (OR=7.622, 95％CI:4.063-14.296, P=0.001) was associated with WML severity .Conclusions MMP-2 may play a critical role in the pathogenesis of WML .The level of MMP-2 is associated with the severity of WML .关键词
