Abstract
Objective To explore the medical expenditure burden of five kinds of senile chronic diseases, so as to ex-plore the methods to control the medical expenses of elderly patients with chronic diseases.Methods We used the data on hospi-talization costs for elderly people with several common chronic diseases from a three first -class hospital between 2015 to 2016,se-lected related indicators,and described and compared the levels of medical costs for several common chronic diseases.Results The investigation showed that the proportion of hypertension among the elderly chronic diseases was the highest,subjects who had 1 kindof chronic diseaseshad the highest proportion,the total hospitalization expenses of hypertension was the highest,and the me-dian daily cost of inpatient brain infarction was highest.Of the two associated chronic diseases,the highest cost of hospitalization was hypertension complicated with cerebral infarction,and the per capita cost and average daily cost of cerebral infarction compli-cated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease was the highest;Of the three associated chronic diseases,hospitalization expenses of hypertension complicated with diabetes mellitus,and cerebral infarction was highest;Of the four associated chronic diseases,the per capita cost and the average daily cost of hypertension complicated with coronary heart disease,chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,and cerebral infarction was highest,the hospitalization costs of high blood pressure complicated with diabetes, coronary heart disease,and cerebral infarction was highest.The hospitalization expenses of five common elderly chronic diseases mainly con-centrated in the 10000~50000 yuan range,which accounted for the highest proportion of total medical expenses.Conclusion In order to control the medical expenses of elderly patients with chronic diseases,first of all,we need to control hypertension medical expenses,do a good job of hypertension prevention and health care, reduce the incidence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease in elderly hypertensive patients,and reduce the hospitalizedrate of elderly patients,so as to reduce the hospitalization ex-penses of senile chronic diseases patients.At the same time,we should strengthen the prevention and treatment of senile diseases, especially chronic diseases,and take the road of prevention as the main road.关键词
