稀土Er对铸态Mg-6Al合金显微组织和力学性能的影响
Effect of Er on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of As-Cast Mg-6Al Magnesium Alloys

Abstract
The influence of Er addition on microstructural evolution and related mechanical properties of as-cast Mg-6Al (wt. %) alloys were systematically investigated by using OM, XRD, SEM/EDS and tensile tests. The results show that, the new phase Al3Er phases appeared, and proper amount of Er addition into Mg-6Al alloys resulted in significant enhanced mechanical properties. Besides, the grain size reduced as well as the morphology of second particles changed from continuous or discontinuous net-like to short rod/ granule by Er addition. In addition, the size of the second phases was also refined and its distribution became more uniformly. However, the mechanical properties degraded with more than 1.5% Er addition. The improved ultimate tensile strength and elongation were attributed to synergic effects of grain refinement strengthening and the second particles strengthening. The proper amount of Er addition is 1.0%, the tensile strength is 181 MPa, elongation is 9.3%. The grain refinement mechanism and effect of Er on second phases in Mg-6Al alloys were also discussed.关键词
