摘要

Abstract

The mechanism of the crack formation in the engine block were investigated by means of chemical composition analysis,metallographic detection,scanning electron microscopy and energy spectrum analysis.The results show that the crack initiation and propagation are mainly influenced by the higher silicon content in the matrix,the existence of the gap and the partial segregation of the copper element.
