Preparation and Behaviour of Self-Compacting Concrete with High Volume of Polypropylene Fiber

Abstract
To improve the workability and behaviour of self-compacting concrete with high volume polypropylene fiber , an experimental study of preparation and material properties of self-compacting concrete with the addition of 0 .5%polypropylene fiber by varying the water to binder ratio and sand ratio was displayed .The results show that the incorporation of high volume polypropylene fibers has adverse influence on the fluidity of self-compacting concrete , and the water to binder ratio and sand ratio can be adjusted to meet the workability of self-compacting concrete with high volume polypropylene fiber; The increase of water to binder ratio improves the expansibility of self-compacting concrete with high volume polypropylene fiber , but also increases the risk of segregation and reduces the compressive strength of self-compacting concrete with high volume polypropylene fiber; The increase of the sand rate has little effect on the compressive strength and can improve the cohesion of mixture of self-compacting concrete with high volume of polypropylene fiber .关键词
