Abstract

The calcination conditions of high belite sulphoaluminate cement (HBSC) were studied by the design orthogonal test method , which was prepared by raw materials include low quality bauxite , foundry waste sand , limestone and gypsum . Thermochemical changes in raw materials , the structure and morphology of clinker and hydration products were analyzed by means of simultaneous DSC -TG apparatus, scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction.It can be preliminarily determined the clinker calcining temperature range from 1250℃to 1360℃, the main mineral composition of the cement clinker as belite and anhydrous calcium sulphoaluminate . Using K value method with X-ray in quantitative of clinker phases , the composition of the clinkers are approximately the same as the theoretical calculation.The hydration products of HBSC are mainly AFt , C-S-H gel, AFm, etc. Experimental results show that:the optimum calcined temperature is 1300 ℃, soaking time is 90 min, quick cooling .The initial setting time of HBSC was 30 min, the final setting time just 40 min.The strength of cement pastes can be reached 65.4 MPa at 28 d.Compared to sulphoaluminate cement 42.5, the early strength of both was close to , but the 28 d strength was 10%higher than the latter .
