Medicinal history research of Pogostemon cablin and Agastache rugosa
摘要
Abstract
Objective The earliest literature origin of wrinkled giant hyssop dates back to Yiwuzhi which was written by YANG Fu in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and as a medicine name listed separately on herbal beginning in the Song Dynasty in Materia Medica Arranged According to Pattern. For a long period of time, a situation that the Agastache rugosa and Pogostemon cablin used clinically at the same time formed. It's significantly important to explain the difference and clarify the medicinal history between the two. This research studies ancient records relevant to Agastache rugosa and Pogostemon cablin by systematically retrieving Zhonghua Yidian database, and all previous dynasties herbal ancient books and famous medical works, discovering that Huoxiang first used as a medicine recorded in Qianjin Yaofang and Waitai Miyao, and widely used clinically in the Song Dynasty Taiping Huiming Heji Jufang, in which Huoxiang Zheng qi San was regarded as a represent. wrinkled giant hyssop originates in Southeast Asia, and then was transplanted in Lingnan, evolving into a traditional Chinese medicine from a spice. Further it becomes an important traditional Chinese medicine in the Qing Dynasty when febrile diseases prevailed. wrinkled giant hyssop named as "Guanghuoxiang" in the Ming Dynasty to show its genuine. The name of "Guanghuoxiang"first recorded in WANG Kentang Yixue Qiongyuan Ji in the Ming Dynasty, 300 years earlier than the previous view that the first historical record of "Guanghuoxiang" is in the republic of China Zengding Weiyao Tiaobian. Meanwhile, the "huoxiang" originating in Jiangsu and Zhejiang named "tuhuoxiang" finally.关键词
