Abstract
Objective:Toobserveand analye the position relationships betweenroot apexes of maxillary molar teeth and the bottom of maxillary sinus by CBCT. Methods:Thirty-two cases were chosen from the CBCT databasel. The ExamVision software was applied to observe the classification of the relationship between the posterior maxillary toothroots and the maxil-lary sinus floor,and to evaluate the incidence of various types. The vertical distance from the roots apical to the bottom of the maxillary sinuswere measured and statistical analysis was carried out. Results:No statistically significant differences were found between the rightand left side measurement(P>0. 05). In total 32 general population(64 sides),the mesiobuccal root of maxillary second molar had the shortest mean verticaldistance to the maxillary sinus ( P <0. 05 ) , and the distance was (1. 59 ±3. 44)mm. The root of maxillary second premolar had the longest mean verticaldistance to the maxillary sinus(P<0. 05),and the distance was(4. 94 ± 5. 23)mm. Among four types,the most common type was type I(61. 16%),type IV ac-counted for about 20. 08%. And type IV(28. 13%)occurred most in the palatal apex of first molar. The highest intimate con-tact rate was measured between the mesiobuccal root of the second molar and the maxillary sinus,which was 46. 88%. Con-clusion:Posteriormaxillary tooth roots have a close relationship with the sinus floor. CBCT can accurately evaluate the anato-my of maxillary posterior region,which has great value for the clinical operation.关键词
