摘要

Abstract

High concentration of Cr (Ⅵ) has become the main source of pollution in the ecological environment .To find a cheap and efficient treatment method for Chromium (Ⅵ) , the corncob was modified with phosphoric acid and the adsorption performance was investigated considering the factors of pH , dosage, contacting time and initial mass concentration , and the adsorption performance was compared before and after the modification .The results indicated that Chromium (Ⅵ) removal rate increased at low pH and modified corncob had the best performance in Chromium (Ⅵ) adsorption with removal rate of 89.6% at pH 1.The adsorption performance en-hanced obviously with the dosage increased .The adsorption process achieved equilibrium in 80 min and the adsorption kinetics was better fitted to pseudo-second-order model .Freundlich and Langmuir model were implemented to express the adsorption mechanism by modified corncob , and the correlation coefficient reached 0.999.Other things being equal , with dosage of 20 g/L to 10 mg/L Chromi-um(Ⅵ) solution, the modification enhanced removal rate of 22.8%, indicating the adsorption performance of Chromium (Ⅵ) by modified corncob improved greatly .
