Abstract
Objective To evaluate the expression of adenylate cyclase-associated protein 1 (CAP1)in gastric cancer with relation of clinical and pathologic data.Methods The protein expression of CAP1 was detected by immunohistochemistry and tissue microarray in 228 cases with gastric cancer.The relation of CAP1 expression with clinical and pathological characteristics for gastric cancer was analyzed.Results CAP1 was expressed in 55.7％ (127/228) tumor tissues.The expression of CAP1 was closely related with the tumor differentiation (P=0.037),vessel invasion (P=0.006),nerve invasion (P=0.05),T stage(P=0.014),N stage(P=0.007) and TNM stage(P=0.026).Multivariate analysis was done with COX regression model and the results was revealed that CAP1 expression,tumor differentiation,T stage,N stage,and M stage were independently unfavorable prognostic factors for overall survival of the patients with gastric cancer.Conclusions CAP1 was involved in the pathogenesis of gastric cancer including invasion and metastasis.The CAP1 expression might suggest poor prognosis for patients suffering from gastric cancer.关键词
