摘要

Abstract

A triangular microstrip antenna based on defected ground structure(DGS)was designed. The slot in ice crystal shape and DGS are embedded on the surface of the triangular patch and triangular ground connection to realize the dual-frequency operation,which can extend the bandwidth of the antenna. The Ansoft HFSS software is used to simulate the antenna. The antenna covers the frequency bands of Wimax 3.5/5.5 GHz,and their bandwidths corresponding to 10 dB return loss are 9.1% at 3.36~3.68 GHz and 1.8% at 5.45~5.55 GHz respectively. In comparison with the commonly-used rectangular substrate,the triangular substrate has more perfect impedance bandwidth and smaller size. The antenna was processed and tested. At 3.5 GHz and 5.5 GHz frequency bands,the corresponding measured bandwidths is 8% at 3.38~3.66 GHz and 1.6% at 5.44~5.53 GHz,which are con-sistent with the simulation results.
