Abstract
A tunable dual-wavelength organic laser based on a holographic polymer dispersed liquid crystal (HPDLC) grating was reported,and the dual-wavelength laser performance under an electric field was also investigated.The gain medium of the dual-wavelength organic laser was dye 4-(dicyano-methylene)-2-methyl-6-(p-dimethylaminostyryl )-4H-pyran (DCM ) and organic semiconducting poly (2-methoxy-5-(20-ethyl-hexyloxy)-pphenylenevinylene (MEH-PPV),the cavity was HPDLC grating. The laser wavelength could be modulated by using an electric field or changing HPDLC grating period. A dual-wavelength emission at 608.3 nm and 632.1 nm was generated by DCM and MEH-PPV respec-tively but in one laser beam.The lasers from DCM and MEH-PPV blue shift 9.6 nm and 1.7 nm,un-der an electric field,respectively.When the period of the grating was changed from 394 nm to 406 nm,the lasing wavelength positions were accordingly modulated, and the lasers from DCM and MEH-PPV red shift 18.4 nm and 19.2 nm respectively.This work provides guidance for the study of tunable dual-wavelength organic laser.关键词
